Food Tourism 2025 Initiative

Our Association's 3 Strategic Goals and How We're Tackling Them

What is Food Tourism 2025?

The Food Tourism 2025 Initiative of the World Food Travel Association is a program that brings together the food/beverage travel trade and food-loving consumers to spread awareness, not just about food tourism, but about some of our industry's most critical issues and to work towards a solution to these issues.  We seek to create lasting, impactful and measurable change in these areas by 2025.

We need your support! If the issues below resonate with you, then please make a pledge to support them. There is no cost to do so, and the more people who have pledged, the more influence we will have with the media, corporations and governments to drive change.

Honorable Mention: Overtourism

While we are gravely concerned about overtourism, it is an issue that affects the tourism industry at large, and not just food and beverage tourism. This issue is definitely on our radar, but we do not have sufficient resources to include this as a major point of focus for our Association. The best we can do is to include it in discussions when relevant, in order to raise awareness, and offer solutions as appropriate.
