Students Seek Help

UPDATE March 5, 2013: This program has been postponed by one year, however students are still fundraising now. So please contact them on their updated facebook page here.

In May 2013, Northwest Arkansas Community College tourism students will travel to Italy to stay on a farm and study sustainable and food tourism as an element to the online Travel & Tourism class.  The trip will focus on the section of the curriculum about sustainable and food tourism.  In addition, students will be given the opportunity to earn the Certified Culinary Travel Professional designation from the World Food Travel Association. The students need your help. Are you looking for a way to have a real impact on the future of food tourism?  Sponsor a scholarship for the class and send a student abroad to learn by “doing”.  Studying abroad is a once in a lifetime chance for students to develop both professionally and personally.   The experience gives students a competitive advantage when they enter the workforce, as international study abroad encourages understanding and appreciation of different cultures and viewpoints.  In addition, the program is limited to only 10 outstanding students – these scholarships ensure we are able to offer this opportunity to students who truly deserve it!
